Endorsement Modeling: What is Endorsement Work?

Another huge source of revenue for potential models is the advertising endorsement industry. Usually, advertising models are uniquely suited to the type of product that they are advertising. For instance, if it’s hair, they have beautiful hair. If it’s body lotion, they have flawless skin.
But even better than that is something called endorsement work. With endorsement work, the company signs you up for a period of time, sometimes a year or two, and you represent the company in various locales.
In other words you’re not just doing the typical print advertising. Sometimes you may need to represent the company at a product’s launch at a mall or store. Sometimes you may be asked to show up at a board of directors meeting to show off the product.
Endorsement deals pay a lot of money. While it is not unusual to see seven figure salaries for endorsement deals it is estimated that very few models, less than 1%, ever land endorsement deals. But if you like consistency and predictability, endorsement deals are the thing to look for.
